PHX Ballet/Lyrical/ Worship Dance (4+)

Service Description

Combo Class Description: In this class, we will focus on a variety of movement, introducing ballet and lyrical basics while including an emphasis in worship through dance. This is a wonderful way to learn and try out several different dance styles, all in one class! We will focus on coordination, alignment, individual artistry, and expression through movement. Combo Class Layout: We will begin each class with prayer and reading a passage of scripture to set our focus for our time together. We will then warm up our bodies in center with stretches and ballet exercises that engage our whole body. We will then transition to lyrical movement across the floor such as leaps or turns and learn a small phrase in center. The last portion of class will include a time of worship through dance as students will be led in various worshipful and prayerful movement exercises. Combo Class Attire: Children may wear basic dance attire or comfortable athletic wear to move in with cotton socks or ballet shoes. Please be sure their hair is pulled up and out of their face in some way.
