Cristina Szocol

Elementary Tutor

Cristina Szocol is an experienced early childhood educator originally from Romania who has dedicated her career to supporting young children’s learning and development. After moving to the United States in 2010, she continued her work in early education, bringing with her decades of teaching experience and a deep passion for helping young learners grow.

Cristina holds extensive training in Early Childhood Education, including college coursework, state certification, and specialized literacy training. She taught kindergarten in Romania for many years and has continued her career in the United States as a Pre-K Lead Teacher. She has also served as a mentor teacher, supporting and coaching other educators as they grow in the field of early childhood education.

Cristina is passionate about creating a warm, nurturing, and structured environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore. She believes in learning through positive relationships, hands-on experiences, and play-based activities that build confidence, independence, and a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Outside of teaching, Cristina enjoys reading, walking with her husband, and baking while trying new recipes. She is especially proud of her son and his service in the United States Army, which reflects her family’s strong values of dedication and commitment to community.
