Agnes Cherry

Agnes is a dedicated Piano Teacher at Arise AZ, where she enjoys helping students build a strong musical foundation while developing a lifelong appreciation for piano. Her passion for music began at an early age through 10 years of rigorous classical piano training from 1978 to 1987, attending lessons three times a week. This disciplined musical education instilled in her both technical excellence and a deep love for music that continues to inspire her today.

Professionally, Agnes earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a career that has served as her primary profession for many years. While accounting has been her vocation, music has always remained one of her greatest passions. In 2020, she began teaching piano both in person and online, combining her lifelong musical experience with a desire to encourage and mentor students of all ages.

As a devout Christian, Agnes faithfully uses her musical gifts to serve her church by playing piano during worship services. She believes music is a wonderful way to glorify God, encourage others, and cultivate creativity, discipline, and confidence in young musicians.

Agnes is committed to creating a patient, encouraging, and supportive learning environment where each student can progress at their own pace. She focuses on building strong foundational skills while making lessons engaging and rewarding. Whether a student is just beginning their musical journey or continuing to develop their talents, Agnes is passionate about helping them grow in both ability and confidence while fostering a love of music that can last a lifetime.
