Alisha Ramos
Elementary/High School Tutor
Alisha brings a warm, creative, and encouraging approach to working with children. She has spent much of her life serving kids in a variety of settings, including church nursery and children’s programs, preschool classrooms, and special needs support programs. Her experience spans working with children of all ages, and she especially enjoys helping students feel comfortable, supported, and confident as they learn.
Alisha has been involved in children’s ministry since she was 12 years old and has continued serving families through preschool support, special needs programs, and motherhood. She believes some of the best learning happens when children are engaged in meaningful, hands-on experiences and enjoys finding creative ways to help concepts “click” for students.
What excites Alisha most about tutoring is seeing the “aha” moment when a child finally understands something they once struggled with. Her sessions are designed around each student’s individual needs and learning style, often incorporating creativity, art, baking, and real-life connections to make learning both fun and effective.
Outside of tutoring, Alisha loves animals and enjoys spending time with her small dog and very large cat. She also enjoys baking—especially when she can incorporate learning activities with her daughter—and has developed a strong love for coffee after living in Washington for several years.
