Jayna Rardin

Jayna Rardin is a passionate Voice, Guitar, and Piano Teacher at Arise AZ with more than three years of experience teaching music and directing musical programs. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance and has experience as a private music instructor, middle school choir director, group piano teacher, musical theater camp director, and worship director. She has also served as a music director for Matilda Jr. and has guided middle and high school musicians in worship settings.

Jayna’s love for music extends across a variety of genres and performance settings. During her time at Arizona Christian University, she performed with the Advanced Worship Band on saxophone, learned clarinet with the Symphonic Winds, sang with the Chamber Vocal Group and jazz band, and even explored scat singing. She is especially passionate about musical theater and group singing and had the opportunity to play Jo March in Little Women: The Musical during her senior year of college.

As a teacher, Jayna loves helping students’ problem-solve, overcome challenges, and grow in confidence and skill. Having learned much of her early music by ear before receiving more formal classical training in college, she understands that students can learn in different ways and brings flexibility and creativity to her instruction.

Jayna tailors’ lessons to each student while maintaining a balance of technique, skill development, and music they genuinely enjoy. Voice students work on vocal warm-ups, technique, and selected repertoire, while piano and guitar students build foundational skills through technique exercises, lesson books, and supplemental pieces chosen around their interests. Her goal is to help students develop strong musical skills while building a genuine love and excitement for making music.
